The Floating Sauna Redefining Summer in the City
At the intersection of salt air and cedar warmth, a new ritual has arrived in Vancouver — and it floats.
Moored at Xport Marina on False Creek, High Tide Floating Sauna is the season’s most talked-about wellness experience: a custom-designed vessel built from the hull up for one singular purpose. Step aboard, feel the city skyline at your back, and let the rhythm of the Pacific do the rest.
The sister experience to the National Geographic-recommended Sisu Swim Sauna in Deep Cove, High Tide brings that same calibre of immersive, water-forward wellness into the heart of the city. The vessel spans two levels — a covered main deck for cooling off and gathering, and an open-air upper deck for lounging under open sky. Below, the cedar-lined sauna radiates steady, enveloping heat. Outside, cold plunge options await: the open ocean at Third Beach or Jericho Beach on days the captain gives the call, or rooftop tubs on board when conditions suggest otherwise.
The ritual is simple. Heat. Plunge. Breathe. Repeat.
A licensed captain guides each voyage slowly out of False Creek and toward the open water, drifting — weather permitting — along the shores of Kitsilano and Jericho Beach. The sauna remains, the skyline remains, and the sense of escape is wholly intact.
Whether booked as a private charter for up to twelve guests or as a community session shared with fellow seekers, High Tide Floating Sauna adapts beautifully to the group. For something more personal, bespoke experiences are available upon request.
Various session formats and booking options are on offer — all of them leading to the same destination: a version of yourself that is warmer, lighter, and thoroughly unwound.
This is what summer in Vancouver looks like now.
