Where Global Style Meets Kelowna Charm

On any given morning, the doors of Pink Heart Boutique open to more than curated fashion. They open to conversation, laughter, and the feeling that someone wants to help each customer look — and more importantly, feel — her best.

Located in Kelowna’s Lower Mission, Pink Heart Boutique has become a favourite destination for women seeking timeless, contemporary style. It is not built around fleeting trends, but reflects something more enduring: owner Marlene Green’s lifelong passion for helping women discover confidence through clothing.

For Marlene, fashion has never been about what hangs in a closet, but about how a woman feels walking out the door. “Fashion should never just be about clothing. It should make you feel confident, comfortable, and connected.”

Having called Kelowna home for more than thirty-five years, Marlene raised her family while nurturing a passion that predates Pink Heart Boutique. A mother to three sons — Mitchell, and twins Tyler and Ryan — she understands that life is busy, priorities change, and women deserve clothing that moves with them through every stage of life.

That understanding was shaped by years of exploring fashion throughout North America and Europe — browsing boutiques, discovering emerging designers, and finding inspiration in fashion capitals around the world. Marlene developed an appreciation for craftsmanship, fabric, and silhouette, and shops accordingly. “If I discover a brand while travelling and find myself thinking, ‘I would wear this,’ that’s usually a great sign,” she explains.

Those experiences became the foundation for Pink Heart Boutique. Rather than choosing labels for name recognition, Marlene selects collections combining sophisticated European design with everyday versatility, sourced this season from Denmark, Italy, London, Milan, and Montreal. Each collection offers its own personality while sharing the qualities Marlene values most — quality, comfort, fit, and sophistication.

“It’s never about buying for the rack. It’s about buying for the woman who will wear it.”

That philosophy is evident throughout the boutique. Large open French doors lead into light-filled collections that invite customers to browse at their own pace, while crisp white walls and warm accents create a welcoming atmosphere. Soft pink chairs beside the dressing rooms, each topped with a heart-shaped pillow, offer friends and family a place to relax and share honest opinions during one of shopping’s most enjoyable rituals. The colour is no accident. “Pink has always been my favourite colour because it makes me feel happy, warm, and hopeful,” Marlene shares.

Every detail is designed for comfort, and that same care extends to accessories. Among the boutique’s favourites are handcrafted handbags from Greece, each piece handmade, combining bold European design with artisanal craftsmanship into statement bags as unique as the women who carry them.

Yet despite the curated collections and designed space, what customers remember most is Marlene herself. She remembers names, sizes, the dress someone purchased for a daughter’s wedding two years ago, or the jacket that complemented a favourite pair of trousers. Shopping at Pink Heart Boutique becomes less about transactions and more about relationships. “One of the most rewarding moments is when someone comes back and tells me how many compliments she received on something she found at Pink Heart Boutique,” Marlene says. “We are not simply choosing an outfit; we are working together to create something meaningful for her.”

It is a level of service that has become rare. Women travel from across the Okanagan knowing they will not simply be sold clothing — they will receive honest advice from someone invested in helping them look and feel their best. That same instinct guides how Marlene dresses. “My style really reflects my mood,” she notes, adding that she has “never believed that women should be confined to one style.”

That philosophy has built a loyal community around Pink Heart Boutique. Fashion, Marlene believes, should never intimidate, but inspire confidence, celebrate individuality, and bring joy to everyday life. Every collection, every display, and every customer she welcomes reflects that belief.

In a world driven by online algorithms and fast fashion, Pink Heart Boutique offers something refreshingly personal: an experience built on trust, genuine relationships, and curated style.

“Fashion will always evolve, but kindness, genuine relationships and making people feel valued never go out of style.”
